The Worlds
The Quest Universe
Welcome to the Universe of the Quest. The Universe is centered around the idea of the modern world, but magic and magical beings exist just hidden in the shadows.
Cattus Abyssi (Cat of the Abyss)

I am well aware that it looks like magicians, but I assure you that it is supposed to be spelled like that. Magisians refers to magical being like genies and witches that exist in the Quest Universe.
-
Even though I feel like Non-Magisians is fairly straightforward to understand, I explain it anyway. Non-Magisians are basically humans. Non-Magisian is a just a term that Magisians use to describe humans.
-
The Magic Conservation Agency is an organization that focuses on protecting and preserving magic, magical creatures, and magical artifacts. They also make sure that the general public don’t find out about the existence of magic and keep dangerous magic locked away to ensure that the world is safe.
-
Hunters in the Quest Universe refers to individuals who gather and scavenge for magical materials and items. They normally sell them to either individuals or businesses. There is an illegal market for certain materials and magical creatures.

If you’ve read my book, The Quest, then you should know what I am talking about. I designed a tale about a witch named Evanora. When Evanora fell in defeat, she gathered all of her magic into her scepter. She vowed that she would come back and finish what she started. To prevent this, the knights hid away her scepter away from her tomb.
Below are the two versions of her tale.
What the text reads: A wicce that gathered afol and andgiet through her lif in decree to take wracu against those whom wronged her cynn. She attempted to fon the world, making others bifian in her midwist. Gehealden the world from her, a heap of beald mennisc gathered and oferdrifan her. Here lies the lichama of Evanora, the arleas wicce.
What the text is translated as: A witch that gathered power and knowledge through her life in decree to take revenge against those who wronged her kind. She attempted to conquer the world, making others tremble in her presence. To save the world from her, a group of brave people gathered and defeated her. Here lies the body of Evanora, the wicked witch.

When I was writing the Quest, I realized that genies are used often in media. I did look up some information on about them in mythologies but in the end decided to create my own version of them. So below is the characteristic that I gave the genies that belong in my book:
Genies have color skin that varies, which is why they live in Cimbura, where it is pretty deserted so they don’t have to worry about attracting the attention of Non-Magisians.
Genies are quite dramatic
Each genie has an heirloom that is precious to them.
Like humans, each genie has different motivation. Some hates humans and live to make them suffer. Some just like causing mischief. Some just does their own thing.

Again if you’ve read the Quest, you’ll know what I am talking about. Cattus Abyssi or Cat of the Abyss is a magical creature that resembles a cat. They possess two forms. Their smaller form gives them an appearance of a normal house cat and their second form is their true form. In this form, they can grow around six feet tall, their horns and gems appear, and their tail splits in two. Don’t mess with them but they will hold a grudge against those who wrong them. But help one and you have an ally for life.

This does appear for one sentence in The Quest, but that sentence doesn’t really explain it or shows how much thought I put into it. The Bubble Elevator exists in Haven and is used to move to the different levels of it. There two parts to the Bubble Elevator system, which are the Bubble and the slide. Each of these parts has a gate to control traffic flow and an attendant. How the Bubble Elevator works is person steps to the center and a bubble forms around them and the platform raising them up. The elevator area has 3 different spells.
The big spell which surrounds the platform creates the bubble
The platform you stand on has half a spell (the other half is on the level you are going up to). When the 2 halves reunited it causes the bubble to pop.
The third spell is an attraction spell, when activated the platform returns to its original position. The third spell is placed both underneath the platform and the place where the platform rises. This is necessary for the spell to work.
In order for the magic spells to activate, the attendant (they pick up a bag before their shift starts) have magic dust that they sprinkle on the spell circles.
The Slide is just a normal slide that has a gate and attendant to control traffic.

In Haven, there’s a taxi service using dragons (with different kinds of Dragons). This service allows the residents to get to far away places fast. The dragons are trained with qualified individuals to work with them. Each dragon has its personal companion, since a bond is required for this work. The service uses an invisibility potion to avoid detect. The people who work with the dragons must have travelers sign a consent notice.
-
If you’ve read The Quest, then you already know what Haven is. For those of you don’t, Haven used to be a hidden Sanctuary for Magisians. Now days, this is more like a city that is still hidden.

In The Quest, I have Shayla (Shay) explain the witch’s “wand” but I’ll explain it here. While each “wand” differs in appearance, they are all made from a material that conducts magical energy and a crystal known as the Witch’s Heart. As explained in the Quest, this crystal has magic flowing inside it and is alive in a sense. For the “wand”, a witch can only ever have one and another witch isn’t allowed to use it. In addition, these “wands” don’t break easily. Even if they do, they can be remade since the magic conductive material and crystal are still there. There has never been a reported case of a witch having her or his “wand” completely broken.
The Protectors’ Legacy Universe
Welcome to the universe of the Protectors’ Legacy. This world is a fantasy world that I created to have magic, elemental powers, and technology. Read about this world if you dare; there will be a lot of spoilers here.

In the past, the land of this world was divided into separate territories. Nowadays, there are no lines drawn between people. This world contains six elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Creatures, and Magic.
Most of these elements have a companion element.
Fire pairs with Light
Water pairs with Ice
Earth pairs with Nature
Air pairs with Lightning
Creatures and Magic are the only elements without companion elements.
Most humans are connected to at least one element. However, having one element does not automatically grant access to its companion or its main counterpart. A person can possess two elements, and they do not need to be related—though this is rare.
Magic and Creature users function differently from the others.
If someone is born with the Creature element, it will be the only element they ever possess.
The Magic element is usually paired with another element, with Light being the most common companion.

In this world, there are many hybrids. Both animals crossed with another animal and humanoid creatures like the Lizard folk. Most humanoid creatures have chosen to live away from the humans since they prefer to avoid getting involved in human affairs. Each hybrid also possesses one of the following elements:
Fire
Light
Water
Ice
Air
Lightning
Earth
Nature
-
Most of the Lizardfolk lives in area where there no much people to be found. They aren’t fond of people except the Creaturias, but during the time that the story takes place, the Creaturia are believed to be gone. While they can use elements, they focus more on their physical capabilities.

The Anoboa is a giant land serpent, which is extreme hostile when it wakes up. Their tough skin is like armor and is also conductible. They attack by bashing their head into the ground, whipping their tail, and popping out of the ground to smash their head into their opponents. They are tough creature, but not very clever. The best way to defeat them is to put them back to sleep, which is easy to do with a calming song.

In this world, there are 4 major temples, which are the Temple of Wisdom, Hope, Serenity, and Clarity. There are minor temples, but they all operate under at least one of the four major ones. All the priests and priestess possess magic, but the types of magic differ. The type of magic that they tend to use depends on what their temples represent. There is also a portal gate in each temple.

People of old built shrines to hide away and protect the crystals as well as built a mural in their last standing fortress (Temple of Serenity) telling their tale. They also designed the shrines as a way to encourage and strengthen the young with their gifts, which is why in the shrines there are messages of direction and support. To encourage unity, the people of old created a map for each shrine. They kept the first map to the first shrine in the highest tower of the fortress, which later is brought to the Temple of Knowledge. Originally, each shrine either had a hidden entrance or a locked door except for the Shrine of Electrifying Winds. They also contained a puzzle that must be solved or a challenge that needs to be completed before they can make it to room with the crystal in it. The crystal is wrapped in the next piece of the map and incased or protected by an element.

Deep in the Twaliti Woods that are located in the Twali Ravine, there is a place called Oasis. It’s an ancient place filled with fog that is loved by spirits. If you go inside there is a good chance that you’ll met one.
-
The Woods of Whispers is supernatural place, where whispers can be heard as you walk through. Nobody knows where the whispers come from, so locals tend to avoid it. This place is the home of Kailion’s cave and where he lives out his isolation.
-
This place was created to protect the Protectors’ children if anything were to happen to the Protectors. Cai, Benji, Naida and Faya lived there under the eye of Luam until the Anoboa attacked.
